A special day for Atom Jiu Jitsu
On 9 January 2021, we celebrated the official opening of our academy in Cairo. This date marks the true beginning of the Atom Jiu Jitsu opening and the start of a long journey on the mats together. For this important moment, we had the immense honour of welcoming Master Kaka.
A seminar led by Master Kaka
Master Kaka is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt under Grand Master Cicero Costha and the Team Cicero Costha coordinator for Europe. During his visit, he taught an intense seminar focused on movement, pressure and details that you only learn from someone with so much experience.
Throughout the session, he shared techniques for both beginners and advanced students, but he also spoke about discipline, humility and respect. As a result, the seminar became much more than a simple training session. It was a lesson in how to live jiu-jitsu on and off the mat.
Belt promotions and new goals
At the end of the seminar, Master Kaka promoted many students from our team. Some received their first coloured belt, while others moved one step closer to black belt. Each promotion rewarded months of work, consistency and trust in the process. For the coaches, it was a proud moment to see the academy full, with students and families celebrating together.
Today, we still look back at the Atom Jiu Jitsu opening as a key milestone. It set the tone for the atmosphere we want inside the academy: technical jiu-jitsu, strong values and a real family spirit. We are grateful to Master Kaka, to Grand Master Cicero Costha and to everyone who supported us from the first day. The story of Atom continues to be written on the mats, one class at a time.
