A young athlete from the Caucasus, Imran, recently came to Cairo for a one-month training camp at Atom Jiu Jitsu with Coach Sharaf. His goal is clear: prepare for major competitions, including the AIGA World Championships next August. After only one week of camp, Imran decided to test himself earlier than planned. He entered ADCC Jordan this weekend and accepted a big challenge. Although he is only 15 years old, he competed in the under-17 division.

A first ADCC experience against older opponents

ADCC rules are demanding. The pace is fast, the physical level is high, and every mistake can cost the match. However, Imran showed courage, focus and maturity.

He faced older opponents and stayed composed. Instead of backing away from the pressure, he trusted his training and kept fighting. As a result, he reached the podium in his very first ADCC competition.

Third place at ADCC Jordan

Imran finished the tournament with a well-deserved third place at ADCC Jordan. This bronze medal is an important step in his young career.

The medal matters, but the mindset behind it matters even more. He travelled to train, accepted a harder division and used every match as preparation for the next goal.

Preparing for the AIGA World Championships

This result is only the beginning of Imran’s journey at Atom. During the next weeks, he will keep working with Coach Sharaf to improve his technique, sharpen his No-Gi game and build confidence.

At Atom Jiu Jitsu, we are proud to support young athletes who come from different countries to train and grow on our mats. Imran’s ADCC Jordan bronze medal is a strong example of ambition, discipline and hard work.

Congratulations Imran. Your first ADCC experience, your third place finish and your attitude during the camp are already an inspiration for the young athletes at Atom.
